I always thought my preferred solution, using Section Breaks, was the last word in solving the problem of how to get that footer text to not show up on the last page. I’ve put together some free ebooks which are available to subscribers of my newsletter (see the end of this post to subscribe!), and I wanted the chapter title and subheadings to appear in the footer of each page… this tutorial shows you how to do that □įirstly make sure your titles & headings have the correct paragraph style applied to them. If your template is only one page but the document based on it can be multiple pages, you will want to set up the header/footer for all pages or for the second and subsequent pages before setting a different header/footer combination for the first page. So we put 'Initials: ' in the footer on the right margin so it prints on every page.
